Mara Fulk was born and raised in Wisconsin where she was a Montessori student from primary through 8th grade. Being raised in a Montessori environment from her education to her family life, it was an easy fit for her to look toward Montessori for her career. Mara graduated with her AMI Montessori certification in 1994, from the Ohio Montessori Training Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. She has opened, taught in, and helped develop programs for a number of Montessori schools. She has been part of the Center family since 2003. She was a teacher for 18 years before moving into the Administrator position at the Center. Her daughter is currently in the Level 3 environment and her son is in the Elementary 1 classroom.
Kara is from the first class of students to attend the Center, as her mother Janice Mattina created Center Montessori to provide an education for Kara and her brother, Kristopher. She attended the Center from kindergarten through 5th grade. Kara graduated from the University of Florida, Phi Beta Kappa, and the Ohio State University College of Law. She is married to Gris and has four children. Quinn is in Elementary 1 and Grant is in the primary Spanish Immersion class. Kara loves being back at her second home.
