Robin Edidin
Middle School Teacher

Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Robin was a scientist in her previous incarnation before becoming a teacher. She has a B.A. in chemistry from New College and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Princeton. Although Robin enjoyed working in science, she was irresistibly drawn to teaching and underwent a career change. She has her Montessori certification for ages 6-12 and 12-15, and has been a teacher at the Center since 1990. Aron Edidin, Robin’s husband, is a philosophy teacher at New College, an institution with values similar to the Center. Robin’s daughter, Rachel (a Center alum) is a graduate of Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. Robin thinks adolescents are lots of fun.
